Secularism and tolerance????

mmm....Was just explaining to my american colleagues the tenets of our constitution...and that set me wondering abt Religious tolerance...Dont you think that this is kinda off the mark?? Tolerance is something that u endure inspite of difficulties, atleast thats what the dictionaries say and here we are aaram se saying we are 'tolerant' of other religions....

Secularism is not abt tolerating other religions. Its coexisting with other religions...

Dont you think we need to change this to something more appropriate? More reflective?
