Whats in a name?? Huh??

Just that I've lost track of the n different mutations/corruptions and I am actually in danger of forgetting my own name :(
Ok... here are a few samples..

Mantangy(pronounced MAN-TAN-GUY)
Manthaanji(pronounced MUN-THAAN-JEE)
Maythingi(MAY-THINGI)

A typical conversation goes like this...

XYZ: (This guy has a totally clueless look) Ma-Ma-n-Mantha.. ok how do you say your name?
Me: Maathangi.
XYZ: Maththaaa...say that again. Just that your name is so so confusing...
Me: (Huh!!abbe.. intha perukku ennada korachal..)MAAA THA NG EEE
XYZ: MAntha... (Sighs n Gives up) Do you have a nickname? a shorter one?
Me: (sarida dai...)oh.. you can call me Madhu.
XYZ: MAAADU
Me: (MAADA? dai #$%^#@^) Madhoo.
XYZ: (Grinning).. thats easy MAAADU.Now why didnt you tell me before?
Me: he he he

Now dont get me started on my last name nightmares.

Cheers :)
Mantanji aka Mathangi

Raindance or Rottendance????

Raindance….
Has anyone used raindance to record meetings? Believe me its very frustrating to connect to a meeting hosted in raindance… You say join meeting and it still tries to detect your system settings 10 minutes into the meeting… then a window pops up saying you are connected.. just when you think you are finally in… yet another window pops up and says it wants to update the settings and you wait for a full 15 mins for it to complete.. by now I am sure you would have got the meaning..These days I leave it to the pros to record the meetings and I stick to plain old netmeeting..

And now its 25 minutes into its installing( for the 3rd time today, I wonder if they have updates every hr!!!) and am late for my meeting as usual

Serial Blasts in Mumbai... 146 dead, over 250 injured..
Grenade attacks in Srinagar, 7 killed and dozens injured...

How can you justify the bloody killings of so many? For what purpose? How long will this bloodshed continue?

Chaos.. chaos...

I am in one of my infamous rambling and grumbling moods tonite... Why is that my books have to be in my bookshelf and why not just strewn around in my living room? After all I live there. and why is that my office binny should be neat and spotless with everything arranged in their places? why is that my whiteboard should make sense to all and sundry? Am I not allowed to write my own crypts? What I whiteboard makes sense to me!!!Why should I always take the shortest route to my mailbox? Why not walk a new route every now and then? Why must I be organized when I can perfectly make sense out of the nonsense I create? And why must I work from 9am-5pm and not 9pm-5am when I am wide alert???

I love the chaos I create arnd me...books arnd me, my cds closeby, my papers scattered haphazardly - everything within a hand's reach. Yeah, I sometimes misplace my stuff but thats ok since I always manage to locate them. I have to endure lectures from all and sundry abt my so-called sloppiness and laziness and then help them locate their missing stuff!!!! If organized means they can find what they want when they want it, then I wonder why I am often called to help find things my 'organized' friends/family keep misplacing.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr......
